THIS year's Bathurst Winter Festival will see a return of some old favourites and a brand new theme that is sure to excite guests.

Some of the plans for this year's festival were revealed on Tuesday when member for Bathurst Paul Toole announced that Bathurst Regional Council would receive $20,000 to help market the festival.
The grant is part of the NSW Government's 2019 Flagship Event Fund.
This is the second year in a row council has been the recipient of a grant to assist with marketing.
Mr Toole praised the festival, saying it was an event which had seen a great deal of success since its introduction.
"Anyone that comes along, has got a family, it's an activity they can do in the winter period," he said.
The festival is not only a source of family fun in winter, but serves as an economic driver for Bathurst.
This year's festival will be held from July 6 through to July 21, once again utilising the Kings Parade precinct.
Mayor Graeme Hanger has confirmed the the ice rink and ferris wheel will return this year, along with a two-storey carousel, which was a popular attraction two years ago.
The ice rink will undergo several changes this year, though.
Cr Hanger said there would be less people allowed on the rink each session to make it easier for people to skate around.
There will also be some children-only and adults-only sessions for a similar reason.
Outside of the amusements, the two major nights, Ignite the Night and Brew and Bite, will return.
Cr Hanger said the theme of the festival this year is 'Cosmic Paradise', but council is staying tight-lipped about exactly what that will entail.
"That lends itself to all kinds of connotations and things that will be happening around Bathurst," he said.
Cr Hanger encouraged people all around Bathurst, including the business community, to get involved in the festival.
