Ella McPhillamy, Kalinda Robinson and Cushla Rue led the way for Mackillop College during the school's recent NSW All Schools Triathlon campaign at the Penrith Regatta Centre.
The intermediate section of the event had the largest participation of any division but the Mackillop trio shone brightly to finish second in the Combined Catholic Colleges (CCC) division and fourth overall across all state, independent and catholic schools.
Robinson, who has maintained a busy schedule with her recent successful Track State Championships campaign, was a standout on the cycling leg to finish second place out of all participants.
Molly McCrossin was Mackillop's only Individual participant, producing an outstanding across all three legs to finish fifth in the senior CCC division.
The school had two junior teams competing, with year eight students competing valiantly for the first time in Penrith.
Summer O’Connell, Georgia Fish and Hope Coombes were 35th out of the CCC competitors.
Taylah Griffin, Charlotte Cooper and Charli Lynch finished directly behind them.
Mackillop fielded three teams in the senior division and it was their year 11 team of Molly McCrossin, Kate Porter and Saige Davies who fared best.
They came home 12th in the CCC division.
Olivia Pringle and Trinity Lavelle enlisted Year 7 student Amity Covington to complete the 15km bike section and together they placed 22nd for CCC.
The year 12 team of Emily Press, Kate McPhillamy and Amy Belfanti - who have been together since juniors - completed their final stint in Penrith and finished an honourable eighth.
