Troy has been making music for 30 years and this year's national hits tour will see him play an acoustic set with his teenage daughter, Jem.
With numerous gold and platinum records, Troy has achieved a staggering 31 number one chart singles, all of which are collected on his new compilation album Greatest Hits – along with signature album tracks and two brand new songs.
The forty two songs contained within Greatest Hits have been the soundtrack to the everyday triumphs, struggles and good times of Australians from the city to the outback.
Troy released his debut single ‘Dream Out Loud’ in 1994, but already had a decade of live performing under his belt.
He was raised in Grafton and is a proud member of the Bundjalung nation. Troy spent his teen years building an honest rapport with audiences that have helped make him a beloved performer.
Troy said he was looking forward to coming back out to the Central West and was excited for audiences to see 18-year-old Jem perform.
He described her as very grounded.
"I can't stand those stage parents … it was the opposite to how we've raised Jem," he said.
Troy’s success and longevity have come from following his muse and the truth of his life and heart, and not chasing commercial success.
This has earned him scores of fans who have remained dedicated and loyal for decades, as his music has crossed generations.

The Greatest Hits tour will see Troy and Jem perform acoustically, something Troy said was the closest he can get to playing around a campfire.
Troy said there was nothing to hide behind when it was just you playing with a guitar and that acoustic was close to his heart.
His advice to others looking to get into the music industry was to "be a good listener."
"To pick stuff up," Troy added. "You become a vessel for other peoples stories…"
Troy and Jem Cassar-Daley will be performing at Bathurst RSL on Friday, April 5.
