The likes of Nick Shipley, who has played two games for the Giants, and Jack Buckley, we a B listed rookie, made the trip over the Blue Mountains to have a kick with Bathurst Giants and Bathurst Bushrangers juniors.
Shipley, who grew up in the Western Sydney suburb of Campbelltown, spoke about his experience as junior, play play Aussie rules and soccer, before eventually pursuing a career in the 18-man code.
Shipley was one of the club's first Western Sydney juniors to come through the club's academy.
Buckley is yet to make his debut for GWS, but could make his first grade debut in 2019 as the Giants look to win their first ever premiership since joining the competition in 2012.
