Another chapter in the illustrious history of combined St Stanislaus' College/ MacKillop College productions is set to be written next week with the upcoming run of Jesus Christ Superstar.

Jesus Christ Superstar is a modern musical retelling of the last days of Jesus, and is one of the most beloved productions from musical theatre masterminds Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice.
The production boasts an impressive cast of 60 students and is headed by George Sargent as Jesus and Niamh Sinclair as Mary Magdalene, with the casting of Judas Iscariot being kept closely under wraps.
Co-producer and stage manager Tory Roth said the musical takes a contemporary approach to Jesus' last days.
"Some people think they don't know a musical but with Jesus Christ Superstar, audiences are going to be surprised by the amount of songs they actually know," Ms Roth said.
"We've already sold tickets to members of the public who aren't associated with either school and are coming purely on their familiarity with the musical."
The cast has been hard at work preparing for the musical since January, commencing rehearsals before the start of the school term.
Musical director Paul Hughes said the students have risen to the challenge of performing such an energetic musical.
"The songs feature lots of key changes and challenging time signatures and the students have engaged really well with the material," Mr Hughes said.
"Their enjoyment is a testament to their love of musical theatre and the staying power of Jesus Christ Superstar as a revered production."
Since the Stannies' Performing Arts Centre opened in 2005, various productions at the venue have been highlighting the immense creative talents of Stannies and MacKillop students.
"Families are going to be left amazed by the talents of their children when they see the show next week," Ms Roth said.
A notable graduate from St Stanislaus' College is Ainsley Melham, who recently made his Broadway debut in the production of Disney's Aladdin.
Jesus Christ Superstar will run for four nights at 7.30pm from March 27 to 30.
Tickets cost $15 and will be available on the door.
