Launched in May last year, Everywhere Venues is a website that allows users to choose the perfect venue for their party or function, with a close focus on accessibility needs.
"We have assessed around 80 venues in the Bathurst area thus far," Everywhere Venues managing director Zoe Hida said.
"The young people involved have shown plenty of enthusiasm towards assessing the accessibility of venues."
Vivability SLES program participant David Googe said the partnership has allowed him to build his liaison skills with local businesses.
"Accessibility is vital for us at Vivability, and it's a great experience to go around to all these different businesses and share thoughts on venue access," Mr Googe said.
Yesterday saw participants in the program attend Panthers Bathurst to assess the accessibility of the venue for its listing on the Everywhere Venues website.
"There's so many people in the Bathurst community with a disability, and it means a lot to us to ensure our venue is comfortable and accessible for them," Panthers Bathurst catering and events manager Fiona Bowling said.
Vivability's SLES program helps young people with a disability in developing desirable workplace skills.
