All state taxes and levies should be cut from energy bills to help businesses and households tackle high energy costs, according to the NSW Business Chamber.

The chamber's Western NSW regional manager Vicki Seccombe said cutting the cost of energy should be the 'primary focus' for parties ahead of Saturday's state election.
She said cutting the taxes and levies would take five per cent off power bills, which equates to a $25 reduction on a $500 bill.
"It's a very challenging time for business, high prices are placing an enormous strain on business viability and household budgets," she said.

"The next NSW government needs to be implementing real reforms to improve access to reliable and affordable energy, to deliver energy savings for business while improving energy security."
Ms Seccombe said the chamber also wanted the government to change commercial tenancies' legislation to assist cost and profit sharing between tenants and landlords for investment in renewable energy.
She said 90 per cent of businesses had ranked 'affordable and reliable energy' as a top concern in the chamber's last two surveys of business conditions.
The chamber also wants increased gas supply.
