To celebrate the day people were asked to wear odd socks that are bright, colourful, short or long to raise awareness for Down Syndrome.
As part of the event, guests enjoyed a light lunch, had the chance to explore Verto's facilities and meet with representatives from the disability employment sector.
Carol Smith, who attended the event with her son Mitch, 20, said the day was about giving people with a disability the opportunity to shine and realise their potential.
While at Verto Ms Smith said Mitch, who works at McDonald's two days a week would explore the services offered by Verto.
She said Mitch has worked at McDonald's for the past 12 months, and loves his job.
Verto team leader Stacey Callan said the day was about creating a global voice for people with Down Syndrome.
"It's about celebrating the lives and achievements of people with Down Syndrome," she said.
