Daniel James Walker, 21, of Cripps Place in Kelso, appeared before magistrate Cate Follent in Bathurst Local Court on a string of driving charges.
Police facts handed to the court revealed that on December 15, police were conducting mobile patrols of Miriyan Drive and saw a Toyota Kluger driving towards them.
Officers saw the car pull to the right and cross the centre lines.
Police reduced their speed to avoid a crash and immediately turned after the driver, activating their warning lights and sirens.
The vehicle accelerate harshly and continued into Morang Ave and towards Boyd Street.
Police continued to follow the vehicle as it continued towards Bannerman Crescent and pursued the vehicle along Bannerman Crescent at between 60-70km/h.
The vehicle approached Cripps Place where it reduced speed, continuing along the street 100 metres before turning into a driveway.
The driver ran inside the house but police entered the dwelling and escorted him outside.
Walker was arrested and handcuffed and asked why he failed to stop. He told police he didn't have a licence.
The court heard the police had continued over a distance of about one kilometre from where police initially saw the accused on Miriyan Drive to where the pursuit ended, taking about one minute.
Police said Walker travelled at speeds in excess of the designated 50km/h and created a serious risk to the community saying.
Officers warned that had the accused been involved in a collision with a pedestrian or another vehicle, the outcome could have been severe.
On the charge of police pursuit, not stopping and driving recklessly, Walker was convicted and placed on a community correction order for two years and ordered to undertake 100 hours community service.
He was also disqualified from driving for 12 months.
