It comes after a very dry start to the month, where Bathurst failed to receive any rain until the weekend of March 15 and 16.
Since those first drops fell, Bathurst has officially recorded 42.5mm, with more rain expected in the coming days.
According to Weatherzone, the wettest day of the month so far was Monday, March 25, when there was 14.1mm recorded.
It followed heavy rain and storms on Saturday and Sunday, which led to some minor damage across the Bathurst area.
A spokesperson for the Bathurst unit of the NSW State Emergency Service (SES) said that, despite the storms, there were hardly any calls for help received.
"We were not very busy at all. We only had two jobs," they said.
"One was a small tree down on a road and another was [damage to] an outdoor pergola."
The SES will continue to be available to provide assistance if other events arise later this week.
The best chance for rain is Friday, where between10mm and 20mm is predicted to fall in Bathurst.
If the forecast proves correct, it will put Bathurst over the long-term average for the month of March, which is 51.4mm.
