A large quantity of beer, wine, spirits and pre-mixed drinks will be sold in an online auction from Monday, following the wholesale liquor company's insolvency.
Acting on behalf of administrators, KordaMentha, the sale to clear Fernbrew's floor stock and recover lost assets will run until April 12.
Anyone interested in bidding on a crate of beer, wine or spirits can submit an expression of interest form next week to online auction company, Pickles.
Based on past experience, there are significant savings that can be leveraged from both a wholesale and individual perspective.
- Pickles executive manager Stewart Dodwell
Pickles executive manager Stewart Dodwell said once all offers were reviewed the firm would contact the successful applicants to let them know what top drops were theirs.
He said the level of savings on the alcohol stock would depend on what people were willing to pay.
"Based on past experience, there are significant savings that can be leveraged from both a wholesale and individual perspective," he said.
As of Thursday, a number of Fernbrew trucks, vehicles, and industrial equipment had also been made available via a Pickles online auction.
The public has the chance to put in a bid on one of Fernbrew's work vehicles, which includes three Holden Colarados, a Hino 500 truck, as well as utes, vans and forklifts from Mercedes-Benz, Toyota and Mitsubishi.
A range of office equipment from Fernbrew's Orange warehouse, which includes palets, cabinets and shelves, will also be auctioned online from May 2-8.
Monday's alcohol sale will include pallets of whisky and champagne from brands such as Ballantine's, Veuve Clicquot and Dom Perignon, as well as pre-mixed drinks such as Canadian Club.
The floor stock includes 23,520 bottles of Jacobs Creek Chardonnay, 2496 bottles of Yellow Brut Cuvee and 26 bottles of Glenfiddich's 21 year old Single Malt Whisky.
Orange wines available in the auction include 36 bottles of Pig In The House organic cabernet sauvignon, 23 bottles of Patina merlot, 40 bottles of Orange Mountain Wines Manildra merlot, 12 bottles of See Saw prosecco and 48 bottles of Ross Hill Pinnacle pinot noir.
Fernbrew called in the administrators on January 30, six months after the Scotch Whisky Association took federal court action against D'Aquino Bros for falsely labelling alcohol as Scotch.
D'Aquino Group of Companies customers were asked to pay money owing to the Australian Tax Office. D'Aquino's Liquor stores on Peisley Street and Bathurst Road are still trading.
