Tempermore features Corey Roche [vocals], Jason Ferguson [guitar, keyboards], Alex Kastrounis [guitar], Darcy Coates [bass] and James Vanderhel [drums] and have been together since 2014.

The new EP, Diversity, recalls the band's storied history as well as the continued evolution of their sound, which appeals to fans of the Eagles and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

"When we first started, we would never play anything the same, but the recording process has added more structure to our sound," Ferguson said.

"The songs on the EP showcase the many different moods of Tempermore, hence why we've called it Diversity," Roche added.

The members of the band first met while studying music at TAFE NSW Orange and after completing the course, they shared a mutual desire to create a fresh sound that they could proudly call their own.

On stage, the band has built a sound reputation with their funky and flavoursome musicianship through a host of well-received gigs over the years in Bathurst, Orange and Dubbo.

"Everyone has been very receptive of us and what we're trying to accomplish as a band," Coates said.

"It's pleasing to see local radio stations starting to get behind our music," Roche added.

Diversity was recorded at Orange's Dotted Eight Studio with producer Craig Honeysett and the EP's first single, 'Poppin,' was released on April 1.

"'Poppin' was one of the first songs we wrote as a band, and it seemed fitting to release it as our debut single," Coates said.

"I think we're all very proud of what we've accomplished as a band."
