The End Festival of Arts, Culture and Heritage is back this weekend by popular demand.
It's on at Hill End Historic Site, just an hour from Bathurst and Mudgee, from 6pm-10pm on Friday, 11am-10pm on Saturday and 10am-4pm on Sunday.
The End Festival is a unique program of arts, culture and heritage at Hill End Historic Site in Central West NSW.
The festival is a back for a fourth year, bigger and better than ever. It offers something for everyone, including:
- Book for the Royal Hall music and vaudeville shows.
- Take part in a roving theatrical production A Cockle Shell for Ship, by performer and musician Kim Deacon.
- Enjoy the free live music program on the Golden Age Stage. There'll be blues, folk, rockabilly and country bands, including Queen Porter Stomp, Andy Baylor Risin' High Blues Band and CK and the 45s.
- Enter the Digging for Gold talent quest.
- Join The End community lantern parade, leaving from outside Hosies store.
- Do a workshop or tour.
- Visit the Maker's Market and see craftspeople demonstrating and selling their work.
- Taste craft beer and wine from the Central West region, paired with local food offerings in the Golden Age Garden.
- Buy local produce from the Makers' Market.
Apart from those attractions, festivalgoers can discover site-specific art installations in heritage buildings throughout the village. Keep an eye out for Portraits from The End, presented by Bathurst Regional Art Gallery.
Visit the one-of-a-kind Makers' Market. Learn to weave, paint or even make a wooden sword at a workshop, watch a fascinating demonstration, or shop for authentic regional produce and wares.
And the Royal Hall is set to go off on Saturday night. Mic Conway's National Junk Band will kick things off at 7pm with his unique show colliding fire, illusion, passion, magic ... and the list goes on!
The Beginning of The End is the opening night spectacular of The End Festival in Hill End on Friday, April 12.
Come with friends and family.
