Panorama Motorcycle Club allowed the Sydney club to unleash their bikes from the 70s, 80s and 90s on the refurbished track, with plenty of positive feedback received from riders.
Panorama Motorcycle Club president Bruce Morgan said the redevelopment of the Mount Panorama track made for an excellent two days of racing.
"The modifications on the track have made things a lot more smoother for the older bikes. Everyone really enjoyed the weekend," he said.
"It was run very smoothly and they got 105 riders up there in a good competition."
It wasn't just the action on the track but the atmosphere at the top of the Mount which added to the weekend's success.
"We get feedback from the riders and they like the new race control building and the improvement to the track itself, and they say it's one of the best facilities in NSW," Morgan said.
"It makes them want to keep on coming back.
"They're allowed to camp up there right next to the track and they had a ball."
The youngest rider was just eight years old, riding a 1988 Honda XR80, and the oldest was 71 on a 1976 Suzuki RM125.
There was plenty of fast and exciting racing in the Pre '90 class.
A three-way clash unfolded between Bathurst rider Brendan Richards, Newcastle rider Josh Bishop and Nowra rider Charlie Lindsay. Each rider claimed a win in the class.
The second round of the series takes place May 4 and 5 at Gloucester Showground.
