And that's not all in terms of school holiday fun, with Bathurst Regional Council hosting various events across the next weeks to celebrate NSW Youth Week.
On Monday, April 15, the Bathurst Regional Library will host a fan fiction writing workshop.
Fan fiction is a story written by a fan of, and featuring characters from, a television series, movie and book.
Writers will explore the world of fan fiction and how to create their own stories, with the workshop designed for young people aged 12 to 17.
The workshop will run from 2pm to 3.30pm.
The library will host an augmented reality (AR) escape room challenge on Wednesday and Thursday, April 17 and 18.
Partnering with Rein Turley of Save the Children, the library will deliver two AR programs, with Wednesday hosting a group of eight children and Thursday hosting multiple sessions for small groups.
Times are 2pm to 3.30pm on Wednesday and 10.30am to 11.30am, midday to 1pm, 2pm to 3pm and 3.30pm to 4.30pm on Thursday.
Ricky from Bluntside Skatepark Tours will also be back on Thursday, April 18, hosting workshops for skateboards and scooters at the Bathurst Skate Park from 1pm to 5pm.
And for any youth who are keen to enjoy a free barbecue, head down to Veritas House on April 16, from midday to 2pm for a Barbecue Bonanza.
As well as the barbecue, there'll be an arts corner, activities, a sports centre, local music, games and prizes as the free event.
