Adam Courtenay, son of much-loved storyteller Bryce Courtenay, will be in Bathurst to discuss his latest non-fiction book, The Ship That Never Was: The greatest escape story of Australian colonial history. Did you know you can take a bus from Bathurst to Hill End for The End Festival? On Saturday, April 13, the bus will depart Bathurst at 11.30am and 1pm and the return trip will depart Hill End at 9.30pm. On Sunday, April 14, the bus will depart Bathurst at 9am and the return trip will depart Hill End at 4pm. One-way trip is one hour and 30 minutes. Cost is $25 for an adult and $15 for senior/concession/student/child. The bus will depart Bathurst Visitor Information Centre. To book, call 6332 1444 or visit Bathurst Visitor Information Centre.
School holidays
It is nearly school holidays again, so it's time to book your little ones in for some fun, including Parkour, boot camp, ball games, golf, gymnastics, circus and laser tag, at the Bathurst PCYC. The Macquarie Care Centre Auxiliary is looking forward to another year of fundraising and always welcomes new members to its meetings. Join the members for afternoon tea after the meetings, which are held the third Wednesday of each month at 2pm in the St Vincent's Function Room, Gormans Hill Road.
Fanfiction Writing Workshop will be held this Monday, April 15 from 2pm to 3.30pm at Bathurst Library. Fanfiction is a story written by a fan of, and featuring characters from, a particular TV series, movie, book, etc. This workshop will be for young people aged 12 to 17 years.
