The 2019 Club Championships concluded on the weekend and it was the unstoppable Reece Hodson who triumphed for the sixth time in A grade after compiling a four round total of 292 to beat Justin Sutton by a comfortable eight shots. Club Captain Darryn Bruce bought home the nett bacon after returning 294 to account for Tim McKinnon on a count-back.

Newcomer Zen Townsend can now add B grade champion to his profile after a four round total of 336 gave him a 3 shot buffer over Casey White. Tony Forster saluted in the nett category with 302 to hold off Andrew Hanger (305).
Rod Pollard finally got to hold a major trophy aloft as his score of 349 proved enough to be crowned B1 champion from Peter Ward (354), Mark Gunning (291) emerged the nett winner by six strokes over Tony Noonan.
Paul Friend was at the top of his game to fire 373 to win C grade from the soon to be departing Joe Heness (376). Scotty Bennett was at the pointy end of the nett stick thanks to a score of 305 to outlast Andrew Rossiter by a single shot.
David Lilly enjoyed the course and conditions on Thursday as attested by his 41 points to win A grade, his trusty sidekick Darryn Bruce was runner-up on 38 points. Mick Locke rounded out third with 37 points while man of the moment Reece Hodson returned one under par to win the scratch.
Bruce Amery and Ray Pepper battled it out for the B grade honours after both players had 37 points, in the end Amery proved too strong on a count-back. Chris White signed for third on 36 points and the scratch has gone to Phil Thompson with a very Liberal 20 points.
Jaise (Ben Jnr) Delaney and Warwick Beacroft were the superior 2BBB aggregate combination courtesy of a solid 74 points, a solitary stroke clear of Steve Finnerty and Pepper. Darrell Bourke and Lilly (62) walked away with the scratch.
The ladies sported a good field last Thursday and it was Sue Cregan (36) who headed Division 1 from Denise Simpson (33). Division 2 is in the safe hands of Jan Dickie (36 points) from Michelle Kingham (33). Karen Wright was the premiere golfer in Division 3 thanks largely to her 35 points, Wendy Parker (29) rounded out the minor placing.
