Every Wednesday Alan Taylor and Susan Morris share presenting duties playing requests, birthday calls and interviews with clients and staff from The Seymour Centre, on The Seymour Centre Show.
It's a great program showcasing the fantastic work done by everyone at the centre.
Tune in each Wednesday from 11am to join in all the fun.
Spread the word
WE are very lucky in Bathurst and the Central West to have such a great range of service and social clubs available to join and provide support to the community.
Whatever you are interested in, or what your needs are, there is generally a group or club to join. You might already be a member of a service club, garden club, running group, theatre company, sports club, charitable organisation or other social group.
2MCE invites any special interest groups in the area to contact us to discuss presenting a radio program focused on your group's activities.
We can offer training to get you on-air and then you can regularly highlight your group's specific interests and services. Just like The Seymour Centre.
You can find a program proposal on our website which contains information which can get the ball rolling.
What you need
THIS week the theme of 2MCE's popular Retro Top 40 program is "What? What's that you say??"
Some of the songs you'll hear will include What You Need by INXS, What I Like About You by The Romantics and What About Me? by Moving Pictures.
Tune into Retro Top 40 Saturday from 4pm.
Queer culture
WHILE most of the programs on 2MCE are broadcast live from our studios at Charles Sturt University, some of our late night programs are re-broadcast from the Community Radio Network.
One of our recent additions is Word for Word. This program features "Australia's best interviews from a queer perspective, delving into the extraordinary lives of everyday people, highlighting every shade of queer culture whilst reflecting the spectrum of diversity that makes Australia today".
2MCE would love to present a similar program with local presenters and guests, so if this is you, please get in touch.
In the meantime keep an ear out for Word for Word each Wednesday at 10pm on 2MCE.
