Mr Radburn, a resident of Whiddon Kelso, was presented with a medal from the aged care facility to recognise his storied history as a runner.
Cassandra Jones, Mr Radburn's daughter, said it was remarkable to see her father return to an activity he's always loved.
"With Dad, it's always been more about participation than winning, and this event was a great way to see off his running career," Ms Jones said.
"After a minor stroke, he lost a lot of confidence in himself, so it was extraordinary to see the staff at Whiddon put this together for Dad."
Mr Radburn's participation was part of Whiddon's Best Week program, which provides a week of activities tailored to a selected resident.
"What Darryl loved most about the event was what he's always loved about the sport- being in the moment, enjoying the atmosphere and chatting to other runners," Whiddon Kelso director of care services Nicole Mahara said.
"It was an honour to be by Darryl's side."
