SWEATING it out in 50 degree heat trying to pick your way through traffic - to most people that would be a frustrating way to spend an Easter weekend, but it was something the Aubin brothers relished.

It was because Bathurst siblings Blake and Kyle were behind the wheel of a Ginetta at Mount Panorama competing in the Production Sports races as part of the Bathurst 6 Hour support program.
The two one-hour races held across the Easter weekend marked the first race outing for the Aubin Brothers Racing Ginetta, the duo having previously campaigned a Renault Megane.
Stepping up to a GT4 car brought with it a number of new experiences and challenges.
"It's a different beast compared to the Renault, probably the biggest differences are braking and the aero. It's trying to work out the limits with it and we still really don't know what those limits are," Blake Aubin said.
"With the slicks and wings on it, it's just stuck to the ground compared to the Renault.
"It's really exciting. It's a pretty hard place to test the limits, but we are making progress and I'm loving it."

One not so exciting element to racing the Ginetta was the cabin temperature, with Saturday afternoon's race particularly sapping.
"The Renault is like a road car so you can crack the windows, but this has perspex windows, so there's no ventilation there. We don't run a cool suit because it failed on us in the 6 Hour [in the past] and just cooked us, so we haven't opted to use it again," Blake said.
"So it's like 20-25 degrees inside on top of what the temperature outside is. So it was about 50 on the inside today and I was quite hot when I jumped out."
The sweat aside, the brothers achieved their goal of gathering data about their new set of wheels and improving across the course of the weekend.
They finished race one in 30th and in despite having to deal with three safety car periods Sunday's second race, the brothers placed 27th.
It meant they finished the weekend with a 10th placing in class.
The brothers know as they learn more about the Ginetta - one they hope to enter in the Bathurst 12 Hour in the future and will continue to race in the Production Sports Series - better results and more speed will come as well.

"Coming out of The Cutting to Forrest's Elbow is 38 seconds for me and I reckon there's another second there too," Blake said.
"It was the first hit out we had and for me, I only did three laps on Friday, so I definitely needed time in the car.
"I qualified the car and in that [first] race I took nine or 10 seconds off that lap time."
The Aubin brothers were not the only Bathurst entry in the two Production Sports races, with Brad Schumacher steering the Kelso Electrical Porsche 997.
He too improved across the weekend.
Schumacher qualified with a 2:17.8050 lap on Friday, a mark he lowered to 2:14.5030 in Saturday's race.
Schumacher placed 15th outright in the first one hour race on Saturday and while having to spend eight laps behind a safety car on Sunday's race, managed to claim 10th position.
