Pint-sized Myra Dawn could be mistaken for a mini-trotter but that didn't stop her from storming to success in the Wagga Oaks (2,270 metres).
Given time to develop due to her tiny stature, the Bathurst trainer continues to be impressed with the daughter of Bettors Delight.
"She is just all heart," Turnbull said.
"We didn't do much with her as a two-year-old as she was too tiny then we turned her out as an early three-year-old when she won a couple that were a bit weaker and thought we'd give her a break and try for Oakses a bit later.
"It has worked well."

Working her way to the front, Myra Dawn held of Western Secret in the sprint lane to win by 1.8 metres.
Firestorm Red then put in a tough display to just hold on and take out the Wagga Derby (2,270m).
Posted without cover, the son of Somebeachsomewhere just held off a late dip by Major Roll to win by a nose.
Turnbull was impressed with his effort.
"He's racing really well," he said. "He used to be a bit weak as a two-year-old and a little bit under the good ones but is getting better with every start."
Both horses were driven by his daughter Amanda Turnbull.
Turnbull just missed out on a treble in the secondary features on the card with Saint Emilion beaten a head by Sheza Mammacita in the Rising Stars Two-Year-Old Pace (1,740m).
