THE woman behind an inner-city jungle on George Street is hoping to purify the air one plant at a time.
As the Chifley Dam level drops and Bathurst's gardeners grapple with the possibility of further water restrictions, Suzie New's recently opened business, Mooi Plants, is specialising in plants that thrive inside or on the porch.
Indoor plants are proven to be air purifiers, improving the quality of home and office environments, she says.
Their artificial counterparts, according to Ms New, "just collect dust and change colour".

The plant lover runs the shop with her daughter Sabrina, travelling to Sydney fortnightly to pick up plants they have successfully grown in Bathurst.
Purifying plants sold at the store include the Philodendron and Sansevieria.
Bathurst born-and-raised, Ms New left a career in education to follow her passion while bringing a taste of her Netherlands heritage to the region.
