Concerns have again been raised about the safety of students from nearby Holy Family Primary School crossing Marsden Lane in the morning and afternoon peak periods.
The RMS has previously refused to act on safety concerns because Holy Family does not directly front Marsden Lane.
Instead, the school stands on French Smith Place, a small cul-de-sac that runs off Marsden Lane.

Nonetheless, the city's engineering services director Darren Sturgiss told council a new approach would be made to the RMS after Councillor Alex Christian and school parent Sharon Francis spoke publicly on the issue earlier this month.
"I have signed a letter to the RMS seeking some assistance with that regard and bringing it to their attention again," Mr Sturgiss said.
"This has been considered by the traffic committee on quite a number of occasions in the past and previous replies we've had from the RMS with respect to the installation of a school zone have been unsuccessful given it doesn't meet the warrant for a school zone for that particular school.
"That is, effectively, that the school does not front Marsden Lane itself."
Mr Sturgiss said any response from the RMS would again be taken to council's traffic committee to consider its next move.
Cr Christian thanked Mr Sturgiss and made plain his thoughts on the matter.
"I look forward to the traffic committee supporting that because all this warrant stuff, some of it is just stupid," he said.
Cr Christian told the Western Advocate earlier this month that he did not mind if council would have to "bend the rules" to have a pedestrian crossing installed on Marsden Lane.
"Common sense needs to take priority here," he said.
"We are talking about the safety of school children."
