Hailing from southern California, the group is the namesake project of musician Jamie Allensworth, who has been inspired by soul greats such as James Brown, Ottis Redding and Curtis Mayfield.
Event promoter Sophie Jones said audiences can expect a high-energy performance.
"This will be Allensworth's first ever performance in Bathurst, and they are currently touring Australia in support of their fourth release, Albumsworth," Ms Jones said.
Allensworth will be supported by local act Gabbi Bolt.
As a musician with heavy funk and soul leanings herself, Ms Bolt said serving as the opening act for Allensworth made sense to her.
"Soul is a very inclusive genre of music in its nature, so anyone who loves a fun night of live music will really enjoy this event," she said.
The event is part of the Victoria Hotel's drive to bring a larger range of national and international music acts to the Bathurst region.
"It's exciting to be able to bring this calibre of music to Bathurst and Little Alberts is a fantastic venue for live music," Ms Jones said.
The event will get under way at 6pm. Tickets cost $20 and are available online via Eventbrite.
