GREG Reid has seen the Bathurst Bulldogs enjoy plenty of success in his more than two decades of involvement with the club, but never before has witnessed the sort of start to a season that 2019 has delivered.

After four rounds of Central West Rugby Union action, across five grades, Bulldogs are undefeated.
The first, second, colts and women's teams have all won four from four to top their respective ladders, while last Saturday the thirds began their campaign with a 28-7 victory over Emus.
"You couldn't script a better starts to a season," Reid, the current Bulldogs president, said. "I can't recall it happening for us - ever."
Strength across the grades is something Bulldogs have long prided themselves on as a number of club championship crowns will attest too.
But Reid said it has taken plenty of hard work and encouragement from both coaching staff and players to be undefeated across the grades so far this season.
"The culture is something we really work hard at, we want to have a high performance culture, but also we want to have a lot of fun too. We want to try and embed that culture within our club," he said.
"It is a very supportive environment, we encourage that camaraderie. You've got to work hard but you've also got to celebrate your successes.
"I've very proud of the application everyone has put in to training. It's great to see the players encouraging one another to get to training rather than it be left to the coaches to drag them there."

Reid knows premiership are not won in May and that "there's a long way to go yet", but said Bulldogs will continue to aim high.
"You've got to set the benchmark high, you've got to try and achieve, winning grand finals is what you want to do," he said.
CSU is also enjoying one of its best starts to a Central West Rugby Union season.
It's first XV is the only undefeated side in the New Holland Cup while it's women's Ferguson Cup outfit has also enjoyed a perfect start to the season.
While the students' second grade outfit has one win through four rounds, they are hopeful of climbing the ladder.
