Kennedy listened and Provest rewarded her by booting three crucial majors at full forward as the Giants downed the Tigers 4-4-28 to 0-1-1 at Waratahs.
It was an impressive effort from Provest, who also plays women's premier league soccer for Eglinton, on a day where windy and cold conditions made it difficult to execute skills.
"I'm really happy for Hails she really deserved those three goals. I was going to play her in the back line, but she asked me if she could just have one quarter up front. When she started kicking goals I had to leave her up there," Kennedy laughed
"She did really well.
"It was a really tough grind and the conditions were terrible, but we got in and got the job done, ticked that box."

With Chelsea Gibbs ruled out for the season after rupturing her Achilles playing basketball, Kennedy drew on members of the youth girls squad to help fill the void.
Leah Muller did well as she rotated through the ruck with Carissa Lane, while Sophie Dixon also had a good possession count.
Olivia Flood and Mariah Gilchrist were strong in defence as they shut down the Tigers' forward line, but it was certainly not all easy going for the Giants.
"Orange are a bigger side and the conditions probably suited them, that slower game," Kennedy said.
"We also panicked in the second quarter, I'm not sure what happened there. So we calmed them down at half-time, told them to stop hand-balling and gets some kicks in which they did and it was good after that."
The Giants led by just six at the long break and were under pressure to back up an impressive opening round win over the Lady Bushrangers.
But they lifted in the second half, holding the hosts scoreless while adding three more majors of their own to move to reclaim first on the ladder.
