The talented Bathurst all-rounders join Tom Atlee, Brock Larance and Henry Railz in the squad of 20 to give Western a bigger share in the group than any other zone.
Players in the squad will be gearing up for the Under 19s State Challenge where they will play their hardest to earn a spot in the ACT/NSW Country side to play in the National Championships.
Broes was delighted to tick off one of the big things on his to-do list for 2018-19.
"There's a lot of talent in this age group. Making it into this squad is great, and it was one of my aims at the start of the season," Broes said.
"I backed myself to get here at the start of the season and I'm proud to make it. I have to thank my father [Shane] and I'm more happy for him because he's the reason I've got to where I am.

"It's a really big thing to have so many players from the zone make it. Henry Railz is probably pushing for an Australian selection and is great Tom Atlee made it after missing out last year. There were a couple of others who were unlucky not to make it.
"There will be a few off-season sessions before the state challenge and teams will be picked from that."
Broes finished the season as Bathurst District Cricket Association's leading run scorer and wicket taker. Mitchell helped Saint Stanislaus' College end its ISA Cricket title drought with a batting average of 82.
Western's Harry McGregor and Tom Coady were named in the under 17s squad.
