According the RSPCA NSW, one million dollars per week is needed to keep their shelters operating and their inspectors on the road helping to investigate cruelty cases and save precious furry lives. Less than 2 per cent of funding comes from the government, so there is still time to register and raise vitals funds for animals in need via the Million Paws Walk which is aimed at ending animal cruelty.
RSPCA NSW Acting Community Fundraising Manager, Danielle Cameron, said over 34,000 animals turn to RSPCA NSW for help every year. "We can continue to care for them when they need us most because of our generous supporters," she said. "Million Paws Walk is our biggest fundraiser of the year; nothing can top a fun day out with your furry four-legged friend raising funds for a great cause".
The animal welfare charity's largest annual fundraiser will take place in 75 locations across Australia with Danielle saying that the Million Paws Walk brings people and pups together to raise money to help end animal cruelty. "It's also a fantastic day out filled with colour, dogs of every shape, breed and size imaginable, plenty of fun activities and prizes, and wonderful people who are all there to support an incredibly worthy mission - saving the lives of injured, sick and neglected animals," she said.

A family ticket covers two nights at the hospital clinic not to mention a day out you and your family.
