While it's safe to say everyone knows who The Nationals candidate voted for, people may not know why Mr Gee, who is from Orange, chose to cast his vote in Bathurst.
It all comes down to meeting as many of his supporters as possible.
"We're going around to all the booths, as many as we can," Mr Gee said.
"Bathurst has always been a very supportive community, so I thought it was a great place to cast my vote this morning.
"And I also heard there was some good democracy sausages here."

This is not the first time Mr Gee has stood for election and if he was feeling nervous, he had certainly hid it well.
He said he had been "very gratified" by the response from the polling booths, but what happened next was in the voters' hands.
"I was up in Oberon this morning and I had a very positive vibe on the booth and the vibe here [in Bathurst] is very positive too, so we'll just have to wait and see what happens when the votes are tallied," he said.
"The campaigning is all done now, so it's all in the hands of the voters.
"It's an exciting time, but for all the candidates, we'll be eagerly awaiting the results. I think it is going to be a very tough contest."
