Bathurst police said unknown offenders forced entry to the home on Molybdonite Road some time on Saturday.
A cabinet had been knocked over during the break-in but not opened.

However, two hunting bows were stolen from the home and the occupant's dog was shot. It was later found dead in the driveway.
Police will conduct a fingerprint examination of the scene as part of their inquiries.

Rock thrown through kitchen window
BATHURST police are investigating after a rock was thrown through a kitchen window on Saturday night.
The occupant was in the lounge room of the Rose Street home when they heard a noise from the kitchen about 8.20pm.
When they went to investigate they found the rock on the kitchen floor.
Police attended but could not find the offender.
Glass candle thrown through window
TWO women were asleep inside a home on Larson Street when a glass candle was thrown through a bedroom window on Sunday morning.
The incident occurred around 2.40am.
Bathurst police are investigating.
Registration plates stolen off ute
THIEVES have stolen the registration plates off a ute that had been parked in Christie Street, Raglan.
The plates were taken off a 2012 Ford Ranger Utility. The stolen plates were BS 62 HC.
