The two characters will feature in the story Alpacas with Maracas, which will be read by mayor Graeme Hanger as part of National Simultaneous Storytime.
Cr Hanger has been the storyteller for the event in Bathurst for several years and is looking forward to telling a new story on Wednesday.
"It's good to be involved with young people and introduce them to reading," he said.
"Having eveyone reading the same story at the same time, it's a great initiative."
Cr Hanger has proven himself to be a very animated storyteller and children always enjoy the unique reading experience.
National Simultaneous Storytime will start at exactly 11am in the library and people are encourage to arrive early to make sure they don't miss anything.
"The crowd is usually quite full so make sure you get there early," Cr Hanger said.
