MOTORISTS on the Great Western Highway have been urged to drive with caution due to snow and alpine conditions.
The alert, issued by Live Traffic on Wednesday morning, was for areas between Bathurst and Lithgow with snow falling in both locations.
Yetholme and Sunny Corner had already received snow by 7am on Wednesday, with more predicted during the day.
"Motorists should drive to the conditions as snow on the road my affect vehicle traction," the alert stated.

The forecast for snow on Wednesday follows good falls on Monday on high ground to the east, west and south of Bathurst.
The last days of autumn have brought a cold snap to the Bathurst region and the Bureau of Meteorology is forecasting tops of just 11 degrees Celsius on Wednesday and nine on Thursday.
It will be even colder in Oberon with forecast tops of just eight and six, respectively.

Motorists are advised to take additional caution and drive to conditions.
Snow and black ice create additional road hazards and motorists should limit travel where possible, reduce speed, limit braking and keep an increased distance between vehicles in front.
