Dwayne Damian Hunt, 50, of Casey Circuit in Bathurst, appeared before Bathurst Local Court earlier this month to face a charge of high-range PCA.
Police facts outlined how police pulled Hunt over for a random breath test as he was driving on College Road on December 12 last year.
Police said they had followed Hunt for a short distance as he drove his black Hyundai Getz along College Road towards the Vale Road before activating their lights and pulling him over for a roadside RBT.

Police approached Hunt, who said he had just consumed a beer five minutes before being stopped.
Police waited a further 10 minutes before submitting Hunt to a breath test.
Officers noticed he smelled strongly of intoxicating liquor and was slurring his speech as he spoke.
Hunt was arrested and taken to Bathurst police station where he was submitted to a breath analysis that returned a reading of 0.163.
Hunt told police he "had one alcoholic beverage at his mate's place." Due to the high range reading the accused's licence was suspended immediately.
References tended to the court spoke of Hunt's remorse. A family friend wrote that he "he fully regrets his actions and is very disappointed in himself and has made steps to ensure it never happens again".
The court also heard Hunt had undertaken the Traffic Offenders Program and had sold his vehicle.
Magistrate Cate Follent placed Hunt on a Community Corrections Order for a period of two years and disqualified him from driving for 12 months.
