There were dogs of all shapes and sizes down by the Macquarie River, with the crowd then walking a lap together.
The organiser of the event, Margie Gaal, said it was a terrific day and an event she hopes to see keep growing in Bathurst.
Money raised from the event is generally used by the RSPCA to tackle the issue of animal cruelty nation-wide.
Some of the funds raised on the day will also support the biannual pet desexing program run in Bathurst, which sees the costs of the procedure reduced for low income earners and pensioners.
