STUDENT leaders from the Bathurst and Kelso campuses of Denison College have taken time out from the studies to visit NSW Parliament House in Sydney.

They joined school leaders from across the state as part of the School Leadership Program.
Bathurst MP Paul Toole welcomed Abbey Kemp and Brad Fearnley from the Bathurst High campus and Marina Kamilic and Lucy Butler from the Kelso High campus to parliament.

"The program provides a great opportunity for students from all around the state to represent their school, become aware of democratic processes and experience the environment of Parliament House," Mr Toole said.
"The students were given an insight into what goes on in parliament and gain an understanding of a wider perspective on leadership and government.
"The minute you walk up the steps [to parliament] you enter what is not just an iconic building but what opens up before you and within the walls, is a journey into the history of our state."
