That was on June 2, 2009 and it was one of the last sightings of the-then 23-year-old, now feared murdered.
Mr Herbert never got the birthday card and he hasn't celebrated a birthday since. This year, as he turns 50, is no exception: The family say they have no reason to celebrate now Andrew is gone.
Mr Russell's sister Kiara White says she can't believe it's been 10 years since her beloved "Drew" went missing.
"It breaks my heart to think about it. Ten years of heartache, our family falling apart. It's a pain that's indescribable," she said.
"People say that over time it gets easier; that's not true, it gets harder. To know I'll never see his face again, never hug him again, never hear his goofy laugh or see his face tears me apart."
Ms White said the hardest thing of all was not having somewhere to lay flowers and to sit and talk to her brother.
"The people in this world [who know where he is] are cruel, heartless monsters," she said.
"I never give up hope that one day we will find him and have our family as one again and lay him to rest."

Ms White said the 10th anniversary on Sunday of Mr Russell's disappearance was one of the hardest days of her life.
"I miss him so much, it's like I'm missing a piece of me."
She said she won't stop fighting for him and pleaded with anyone who knows anything about Mr Russell's disappearance and murder to come forward.
"I never give up hope that one day we will find him and have our family as one again and lay him to rest."
