The tournament will bring the nation's best boy and girl hockey players to the city from April 17-23 in an event supported by Bathurst Regional Council and Bathurst Hockey Association.
The announcement - including confirmation that Moorebank would host next year's under 21s national titles - was part of Hockey Australia's ongoing partnership with Destination NSW to host the annual Australian championships.
It also aligns with council's "visitor economy" strategy of hosting major events to bring in tourist dollars to the city.
"We're delighted to continue our five-year partnership with Destination NSW with Bathurst and Moorebank to host Australian championships in 2020," HA CEO Matt Favier said.
"All host venues secured through Destination NSW have been excellent and we look forward to that continuing in 2020.
"The under 15 and under 21 Australian championships are important events for exposing our next generation of hockey talent to the top level on their pathway to one day representing our national teams."
Hosting the titles will add to Bathurst's growing reputation as regional NSW's sporting powerhouse.
Bathurst will next year become the first Australian city to host a round of the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup and in 2021 will host the International Association of Athletics Federation world cross country titles.
Bathurst mayor Graeme Hanger said the city was proud to host the events.
