Club manager Rebecca Mathie said the upgrade looks amazing, and is part of the club's fresh new look aimed at attracting a younger demographic.

The club received a $200,000 grant from the NSW State Government last year to upgrade the room, which Ms Mathie said was in dire need of renovations.

The renovations are now 95 per cent complete, and will be ready in time when the club hosts its re-branding next month.

Ms Mathie said as part of the renovations, the room has a new floor, new ceilings, windows and electrical board.

"It hasn't had an upgrade in quite a while. The floor was not in a good way the joints and bearings were starting to go," she said.

"The grant certainly came at the right time for us."

Ms Mathie said the club had applied for funding twice before, but had missed out.

"But our persistence has paid off," she said, adding the club would have struggled to fund the renovations had it not been successful.

"It would have been very difficult trying to fund it, we would have had to find a level of sponsorship and source other grants to get it fixed," she said.

Ms Mathie said the renovations were a huge job, not only for tradesmen working on the job, but also for a team of club volunteers who assisted, ripping up floor boards, and doing other jobs.

"I owe a big shout out to both the tradies and volunteers for the work they have done. The volunteers are retired builders who love the club so much, they wanted to come in and help out.

"Their efforts have been remarkable, the room has been transformed and looks absolutely beautiful," she said.

Ms Mathie said the room will be launched as part of the club's Winter Gala event, being held in conjunction with the Winter Festival. Tickets are $50 and available from the club or via Eventbrite.
