Bushrangers will be big favourites to come away with a win against the Panthers, who are sure to show plenty of fight in their bid to hold a top four position.
The Bathurst club have experienced their share of ups and downs through the season to date but last week's 89-point drubbing of the Cowra Blues was the squad showcasing some of their best football.
It's that brand of footy that coach Brian Matheson is chasing as the club begins a three-game run at home.
"The effort last week was fantastic. They're playing really good football. Some of our passages of play were wonderful," he said.
"We had less numbers than Cowra and we actually let them play extra players on the field, so they didn't have to have anyone on the bench, and that put some extra pressure on our girls.
"The scoreline against Cowra wasn't a fair reflection of the effort that they put in. They played a very physical game and tried hard all day."
Bushrangers were in the unenviable position of having more players unavailable than available during the trip to Cowra but it's expected to be a different story at home this Saturday.
Last time Bushrangers met the Panthers this year they were 54-point winners, keeping Parkes off the board for three quarters.
"Parkes have been struggling a little but what were shouldn't be doing is going out there looking to flog teams at the bottom of the ladder but encouraging them as much as we can," he said.
"It's great how rapt our girls have been with how they're playing.
"Georgia Shiels probably had five kicks from within 25m against the Giants for probably the one behind, but on the weekend she kicked three goals and was kicking more accurately and from further out."
Meanwhile, the Bathurst Giants will be forced to sit out yet another week off football courtesy of back-to-back byes following the long weekend break.
Bushrangers and Panthers play on George Park 2 from 12.30pm.
