A community Justice of the Peace desk has opened at the Bathurst City Centre for those who need access to a JP to complete documents. The desk is at the top of the escalators of the Bathurst City Centre in front of Tarocash and operates from 3.30pm to 6pm on Tuesdays, 5pm to 7pm on Thursdays and 9am to noon on Saturdays.

Bathurst Library will be holding its monthly book sale this weekend at the library. Cookbooks, gardening books, crime novels, old books, car books, art books and much, much more will all be available from 10am to 6pm Friday and 10am to 3pm Saturday and Sunday.

Tim Collison from Leprosy Mission Australia will talk about leprosy in Papua New Guinea and how the people of Bathurst can help when he talks at the Bathurst Uniting Church at 140A William Street from 2pm-4pm on Saturday, August 3. There will be no cost to attend.
The Theo Barker Memorial Lecture will be held at Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre on August 16 at 6.30pm. The free public lecture, co-hosted by Bathurst District Historical Society and council, is held every two years.
