Ashley Hevesi-Nagy, 45, of Duckmaloi Road, Oberon, made a brief appearance before magistrate Cate Follent in Bathurst Local Court on Monday where he pleaded guilty to the charges against him.
Hevesi-Nagy did not apply for bail, which was formally refused.
Police facts handed to the court told how the accused, a hairdresser by trade, was at his Duckmaloi Road property on Sunday afternoon with his brother and another man.

All three were drinking while doing jobs around the farm, before returning to the residence, where they continued drinking, the police facts said.
The accused and victim started arguing over what music and computer games they were playing and it led to them having a physical scuffle, in which no-one was injured.
A short time later, the accused was in the kitchen when he held a bottle of Wild Turkey by the neck and pointed it towards the victim. He then grabbed a large kitchen knife and also pointed it at his brother, who was standing two metres away, the police facts said.
The victim approached the accused and a struggle occurred, with the victim sustaining a wound to the lower left part of his stomach.
The witness and the victim made their way to the main residence, leaving a trail of blood behind them, where police and ambulance were called.
The accused started cleaning up the blood, mopping inside the house and hosing the trail of blood outside.
While the victim was taken to hospital for surgery, the accused was arrested.
A search of the house located a gun safe with two silencers inside.
In an electronic interview, the accused told police he only held the knife and bottle to scare the victim and make him leave, but the victim rushed at him and he didn't realise he had stabbed him.
The matter was adjourned to August 5.
