With the merging of All Saints' College and The Scots School, the best netballers from both institutions have this season have joined forces.
The SASC first VII is currently playing in the Bathurst Netball Association's first grade competition and find themselves sitting fifth on the ladder.
It has been a solid start given that once rivals have formed new combinations.
"It's been an amazing achievement to get girls from different schools to join together on the netball court and they've been doing an amazing job," co-coach Justin Adams said.
"You wouldn't know that they were from two different schools at the moment, they've joined together nicely.
"Fifth is an amazing achievement for the girls. We are definitely playing against more experienced teams. Us being a new team this year, it's amazing that we've been able to do so well."
This Saturday SASC will take on a Mana outfit which boasts a host of experience. The students would love to spring an upset to boost both their spirits and their ranking. It would also reward their hard work.
Adams is proud that despite bone-chilling temperatures, his squad has put their hearts and souls into the game.
"Our firsts girls, in particular, are working really hard, they're taking every win and loss to heart, really they take it very seriously," he said.
"They have really taken the belief that they need to be the role model for younger girls and they have been encouraging other kids to come along and watch them play because they want to demonstrate their leadership."

For Saturday's match SASC will be without Sasha Spence and Zoe Lewis, but Adams has faith that those who do take to the court will rise to the challenge.

"We have had a few cuts, scratches and scrapes, had a few kids fall over and bruise their knees, elbows and foreheads but other than that, we've been very lucky with injuries and that's probably because the girls do put a lot of time in their condition and fitness," Adams said.
"We have never given up in any game in the firsts, the girls try their very hardest right until the end.
"We're really proud of them ... We are seeing some really good results."
The match starts at 2.30pm.
