A WOMAN caught by police with drugs in her car has been convicted on two counts of possession of a prohibited drug and fined $500 collectively.

Crystal Joy McAnulty, 36, of Northstoke Way in Orange, appeared in person and unrepresented in Bathurst Local Court.
The court heard McAnulty was caught with meth and cannabis at 10.40pm on April 26 at Mount Lambie.
Police were patrolling the Great Western Highway when they saw McAnulty's car parked on the cleared shoulder of the highway.
They stopped and spoke to her and formed the suspicion the car contained prohibited drugs.
Police asked her if she had any prohibited drugs and she told them she had about an ounce of cannabis, according to the police facts.
Police searched the car, locating various amounts of cannabis and clear resealable plastic bags containing meth.
McAnulty was cautioned and questioned and she made full and frank admissions to police, according to the police facts.
