Not only did City showcase some excellent tactical play over the course of the game in Orange but their 3-1 result has put them within reach of the competition's top four.
A brace from Casey Miles, which followed up an early goal from Quinn, paved the way for an upset win - one which has put the Bathurst club firmly back into finals contention.
City kept CYMS off the scoreboard for three quarters and withstood a desperate barrage of offence from the home side until the wall was finally broken late in the game.
The goal wasn't enough to shake the composure of the City women who have moved into a three-way tie on 14 points with Confederates and Souths.
It's just the second loss this season for CYMS and only the second victory for City.

"We tried to stay out of the midfield, they're very strong there. After a poor first five minutes we quickly turned it around and we had a fairly good amount of attack," Quinn said.
"That was probably the best we've played and we're right in contention for that top four place.
"Our passing around the midfield was exceptional. We got the ball out wide and we were linking up well with our strikers. Our defence came through, cleaned up and didn't let them have any runaways."
Quinn opened the scoring when he shot into the top corner capped off a strong play down the wing from the visitors.
Bec Bosianek had the chance to extend the lead from the short corner but when her effort was blocked Miles was on the scene to follow up and make it a 2-0 lead.
Miles made it a brace when she found herself in a one-on-one situation against the CYMS goalkeeper, holding her nerve to finish in style.
Kayla Russell ensured CYMS wouldn't end the match scoreless with her successful shot.
