Fronted by weather presenter James Tobin, the Weekend Sunrise team staged a host of live crosses from locations such as Machattie Park, the Victoria and the Bathurst railway station.
The team was in town to promote the upcoming Bathurst Winter Festival, scheduled to get under way this Saturday.
Mr Tobin said the visit was an opportunity to bring wider attention to the Bathurst community's vibrant culture.
"The main joy of this job is listening to people highlight the wonders of their region, and it's great to hear them speak with plenty of passion," he said.
"It's fun to be in the cities but there's a different feeling when you visit regional Australia as people evoke a strong sense of pride in their community."
The visit was preceded by a stop in Forbes on Saturday.
Mr Tobin and the Weekend Sunrise team last visited the region in March and the Bathurst Visitor Information Centre has played a key role in gaining the coverage.
"It's fantastic acknowledgement of Bathurst's appeal as a destination region," Bathurst Visitor Information Centre manager Dan Cove said.
"The broadcast had an estimated reach of 1.9 million viewers across Australia and an airtime value in excess of $200,000."
Over the last month, Weekend Sunrise's Sunday broadcast has attracted an average audience of 263,000 across Australia's five largest cities.
Heath Smith, manager of the Victoria, said the visit provided welcome exposure for some of the region's burgeoning businesses.
"There's so much to talk about here in Bathurst and it's rewarding to be able to showcase what we have to offer on a national platform," Mr Smith said.
"We love our pub, and the broadcast was a great way to show off the customers, staff and musicians who bring so much character to this venue."
