While 20 hectares of Mayfield Garden is usually open 363 days of the year, an extra 55 hectares has been opened to the public on Saturday, July 6, to Sunday, July 21.

The 55 hectares includes an English box hedge maze, an 80-metre cascade and waterfall, the walled kitchen garden, the Mayfield chapel, croquet court, Mayfield amphitheatre and rowing boats on Mayfield Lake.

It is recommended to arrive at 9am to give yourself a minimum of two hours during the festival to explore the garden.

Last garden entry is at 3pm, shutting at 4.30pm.

It's recommended to wear closed in walking shoes and dressing for the weather, which might mean bringing a hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, and an umbrella.

Being located in the tablelands a sweater or jacket is recommended year-round.

In terms of getting a bite to eat, Mayfield Cafe is open from 9am too.

It has a fresh, seasonal menu until 3pm and coffee, tea, the bar and snacks open until 4.30pm.

There are no bins within the garden areas, so help keep Mayfield beautiful and return all rubbish to the cafe and nursery areas for recycling or disposal.
