To be water wise, we must seek and find all the areas and knowledge that we can to assist with water security and usage.
We must come together as a group with all those who have knowledge and experience with hydrology in our area.
We must put in place a map of all groundwater (aquifers, wells, etc) which can act as reservoirs of water and extend water security, then add a usable agreed management system, including encouragement for all of us to seek and receive reward for finding groundwater.
The artesian aquifer basin in Queensland, an area of 1,700,000km2, is noted as one of the largest in the world and is being capped and piped.

In the USA, another large aquifer supplies water into five adjoining states. In Australia, aquifers have been found in the desert areas, setting up irrigation supplies.
Our water supply should not only rely on surface water such as dams, rivers, etc, but also have back-up water security.
I grew up with my grandfather, who started off with only spring and dam water on 13,000 acres of land.
He used and taught me the ability to find groundwater, bores, etc with divining and mapping, etc, and employed a boring contractor full time.
Thus, over time, I have been able to assist successfully in finding groundwater in many areas.
