The dinner, scheduled for Panthers Bathurst on Saturday, September 28, is held each year to commemorate the birth of former Australian Prime Minister and Bathurst native, Ben Chifley.
Dr Chalmers has been the Labor member for Rankin since 2013, and was promoted to the shadow cabinet following the 2016 federal election.
Bathurst Labor branch president Sue West said they were "delighted to have Dr Chalmers as their guest speaker for this important event, which is a highlight of the party's calendar."
The dinner was first held in 1985 and every Labor Prime Minister since Gough Whitlam has visited Bathurst to deliver the address.
Tickets will go on sale at the end of July and for inquires, contact Ms West on 0418637538.
