Designed by staff members Darlene Murdoch and Karen Brown, the shirt features traditional Wiradyuri designs and the phrase 'ngan.girra, dhurarra, buwanha-gu,' meaning encounter, achieve, flourish.
"We wanted to make sure this shirt adequately represented Indigenous Australian education within our Diocese," Ms Murdoch said.
Ms Murdoch, who is the Diocesan Aboriginal education officer, said the shirt took around eight months to design and required consultation with the wider Wiradyuri community.
Diocesan director of schools Jenny Allen said the shirt has been unveiled during NAIDOC Week to highlight the importance of Indigenous Australian education to the Catholic church.
"We have a detailed strategic plan that guides Indigenous Australian education in our schools," Ms Allen said.
