Year 11 boarder Joe Sullivan also attended the annual national titles at Riverview and enjoyed his own slice of rugby history.
He was part of the Cavalier Barbarians side which made its debut at the championships under the guidance of Scots All Saints' College coach Peter Koen.
Sullivan and his team-mates, who came from New South Wales, Queensland, ACT, South Australia and Tasmania, tested some of their more fancied rivals.
